Stake Poker tournament cancellation refunds

The refund depends on whether cancellation occurs before play, before the prize stage, or after the prize stage.

Cancellation before the tournament starts

Registered players are described as receiving their buy-in, tournament entry fee and their own bounty back. Used tickets or vouchers are recredited. Freerolls do not receive compensation.

Cancellation after play begins

Before the prize stage, remaining players receive the entry fee and the collected pool is allocated 50% equally and 50% in proportion to chip counts. After the prize stage, each remaining player receives the minimum unpaid prize, with the balance distributed proportionally by chip count.

Guaranteed and bounty tournaments

For a cancelled guaranteed tournament, the policy allocates the collected prize pool rather than automatically paying the advertised guarantee. Remaining bounty players retain won bounties and receive their own bounty back. Eliminated players are not entitled to a refund.

The policy’s order of precedence is: Stake Poker Terms and Conditions, Card Room Rules, the cancellation policy, then other applicable poker rules.
